harold and the purple crayon

Getting adjusted before the show.

We took Cordelia and Bea to see Harold and the Purple Crayon Saturday afternoon. I was a smidge concerned over the teensy chance we could cause a scene. Well, we caused a scene, but it was due to severe enjoyment. Cordelia jumped and shouted most of the time. Bea was on the edge of her seat acting as if she were part of the show. She was just like that woman that you shush at the movies. At one point she was mimicking a cast member and roaring with laughter. It was such a great time.

Cordelia is 6 months. I really really cannot believe how fast time has gone. She has been rolling back and forth for awhile and now she can sit, babble, SHOUT and laugh - a lot. Cordelia has also been making slight crawling movements! Eeks!

halloween 2012

The teachers said that Bea was stuck to Cordelia's side during the pictures and would just rub and massage her shoulders!

When we got home we went down the street to a safe trick-or-treating area. Bea was a little unsure at first. Cordelia was just keeping toasty.

Bea quickly caught on and would yell "trick or treatin!" She even tried to go in some people's houses.

This 50's car hop had a grand old time trick or treating. When we got home, Scott and Bea picked through their loot. She was so in love with all the candy that she tossed her pumpkin over the crib rail and said - we have ta take it in bed!

pre-halloween at the sunnyside mall

The Saturday before Halloween, the Sunnyside Mall and a one of our block clubs had a little party for the kids. Since it was pretty chilly, we had Bea wear a tight but WARM Carebear costume and Cordelia wear...pink heaven, dream puff, never-wanna-put-you-down snowsuit. There was pumpkin painting and a glitter station, coloring and story time.
