wake up and boogie down
Saturday we went to "Wake Up and Boogie Down". I would describe it as a family party during the AM hours. Music, crafts, singing, dancing, lots of food and a few beauty treatments.

Cordelia was a wild woman. She wanted to be foot loose and fancy free. Scooting over to other families, taking things out of their bags and even putting her foot down the back of one woman's pants!

Most of my pictures of Cordelia are blurry due to the dancing.

Bea had a terrible time and didn't participate at all.

Towards the end of the party Cordelia was done and fast asleep in my arms, snoring.
woah cocoa
Bea loves cocoa and loves to wear a "cocoa bib", which is just one of Cordelia's tight bibs. She would have it all day - everyday, so we try and make it a treat. So the rule of thumb is she gets to have cocoa after being outside long enough for her nose to run. But that nose run needs to be a double, and it has to make it to her lips.

the natural frosty
Bea had been itching to build a frosty. When the time came, all she wanted to do was throw snowballs and kick the beginnings of the body - then roar with laughter. When she finally came around, light was fading and supplies were low. So Frosty picked up some leaves and debris to keep him warm at night. He also only wanted to be able to see and grab things with his pine-eyes and twig-arms. His natural and angular body made him irresistible to Bea. She said she needed to pick him up, hug him and carry him.
Valentine's Day
Valentine's this year was all about the kids. We made Chicago valentines for the girls to bring. Bea was so excited and proud. There was a valentine exchange, goody bags and a dance party for the older kids and Bea claims that they danced to Single Ladies. Cordelia made us some Valentine art and had a single red rose attached to it. It's stuff like this that makes me weepy. The teachers were giggling at my response.
