halloween happenings

There were lots of neighborhood Halloween events this year.  Our block club hosted an even the Saturday before. It was a little chilly, so Cordelia was in the perfect costume.

I had nude unitards for under their costumes, but felt that Bea needed yet another layer under her nude suit.

Turning three means not wanting to stand.

Not wanting to smile for a birthday picture.

But being all too happy to blow out candles on leftover birthday cake.

Before Bea's guest arrived, her and Cordelia went out front to check out the new scarecrow.

Such overwhelming Joy. The entire week before Bea's birthday, she sang herself to sleep with 'Happy Birthday to Bea'.

 There is a new art teacher at school, his name is Tyler and the kids adore him. He took the older kids to do clay impressions outside.

Bea and Cordelia get to see each other on occasion. This time it looks like Coco paid a visit to Bea's room. They call them the "Southern Belles"

. 

This is Cordelia's spot. No one else's. She likes to take it all in and be able to have full view of her room.

bea's first field trip

First school bus ride! Off they go to Lincoln Park Zoo!

Unfortunately I did not chaperone, but fortunately the school took some pics!

See the little boy in the blue plaid in the foreground? That is HOTTO. He also moved from the old school. Otto and Bea have a special relationship. It's a love-hate.

Pumpkins Chicago

 Pumpkins Chicago is a spot for pumpkins in Wrigleyville. There is a little corn maze, pumpkins and gourdes, and pumpkin decorating. It's not a huge set up, but it's great for what it is. Bea and Cordelia were beside themselves with excitement.

The man that ran the place even made Bea a necklace.
