Cordelia Rose

Cordelia Rose! After a scheduled c-section, Cordelia was born May 7th at 1:39 pm. 9 lbs 12oz and 21 inches. Such a sweet and juicy little girl that looks a whole lot like her big sister.

18 months

Beatrix had her 18 month check-up. She loves the nurses but isn't too warm towards the doc. Bea is doing great, looking good, feeling good and blasting off the charts, again. 31 lbs 3 oz and 34.5 inches. She had one shot that she cried a smidge over and one door to the head that she really cried over. Sorry Beanut.

easter brunch

We got all dolled up to head over to the Scarsella's for brunch.

Such a classy lady.

Until she tells me to get out.

Bea loves spending time with her cousins, especially the girls.

Less than a month until baby gets here.

The Scarsella's must "know a guy" that has an in with the Easter Bunny because we had quite the Easter egg hunt.

The Easter Bunny stopped by and brought Bea lots of treats to keep her busy. We broke right into the crayons and construction paper while we dyed eggs. She also got a couple of bathing suits that I hope Bea will model soon.

a visit from grandma and grandpa

Scott's parents came up for a visit the day before Easter. It was such a beautiful day that we decided to go to Lincoln Park Zoo. Bea was such a lucky little girl to have her grandparents there to get her to the front of all the animal exhibits and hoist her in and out of the stroller to get the best views. The grody Seagulls seemed to be one of the most interesting stops.

now let me explain

When I was nursing Bea, I would keep the Boppy hanging over the foot of her crib. I guess I just forgot about it being there and soon after, Bea discovered it. She has started pulling it down into her crib and having a grand old time with it. Sometimes it's a comforting pillow and other times it's a trampoline. This time it appears to be a suffocation hazard. She couldn't have been more content and even had it wedged under the Sleep Sheep. But seriously Bea, did you really think we would let you stay this way all night?
