day of the dead

Beatrix Pearson, Dia de los Muertos school photo. Where do I begin? Only 3 year olds and up get this. Man do I love it. The paint, the expression, the garb. When I asked Bea about it, she was like "yea, i got my picture taken".

Every new day bring even more new hair.

Cordelia seems to be getting more and more adventurous. Steep slides and ring hanging. She loves showing off.

trick or treating with the lannisters

Cordelia and Bea were supposed to go as Pebbles and Bam Bam, but they wanted no part of that. And like any normal toddler duo, they opted for dressing up as some adult characters they had never heard of. Joffrey and Cersai from The Game of Thrones.
They were a buzz with excitement and just wanting to hit the pavement.

Running. I cannot believe that they were as into it as they were.

Cordelia was always leading the pack.

A couple blocks by us get really into the festivities and shut down the block, this building had a line to get in.

This friendly looking fella dressed in all black, without a face, was in charge of crowd control and letting the groups of kids in. Bea caught on that this was scary while Cordelia was fighting to get out of my arms.

And here is the good old "statue" with a candy bowl trick. Bea hung back while Cordelia went right for the bowl...and the groin.

I have zoomed in a King Coco's face a zillion times. Even with crummy weather, we had a great Halloween!

halloween happenings

There were lots of neighborhood Halloween events this year.  Our block club hosted an even the Saturday before. It was a little chilly, so Cordelia was in the perfect costume.

I had nude unitards for under their costumes, but felt that Bea needed yet another layer under her nude suit.

Pumpkin painting and decorating.

Cordelia was ridiculous.

Candy and coloring.

Sunday was the park district Halloween party. A bounce house is always appreciated.

More pumpkin painting.

Lip painting.

Bea is donezo. How cute, our washed up little Cinderella.

Cordelia shoved up her sleeves for pumpkin carving.

bea's actual birthday

Turning three means not wanting to stand.

Not wanting to smile for a birthday picture.

But being all too happy to blow out candles on leftover birthday cake.

bea's 3rd birthday party

Before Bea's guest arrived, her and Cordelia went out front to check out the new scarecrow.

Crafts with cousins.

Iggy, Bea and Leo.

Such overwhelming Joy. The entire week before Bea's birthday, she sang herself to sleep with 'Happy Birthday to Bea'.
