st. patty's day
This year we kept with the tradition of celebrating at the Irish Heritage Center. There was live music and lots of dancing. Bea did some bopping out there in the middle, but really seemed more interested in the summer sausage and Irish cheese. It was also IU playing in the tournament which is why Bea looks like a gypsy with the socks and tights.
green day
Bea's school dedicated an entire week to "green week." It was really a week celebrating St. Patty's and I am so thankful for all of the music and crafts that Bea got to enjoy. There was painting with potatoes, planting seedlings, Molly Malone and Danny Boy. The week was wrapped up on Friday with everyone wearing green. You can't tell in the picture, but there is a tiny trail of shamrocks going down one of Bea's legs.

erin go braugh!
Happy Saint Patrick's Day! To celebrate the day, Bea made a CRAFT at daycare. No, she wasn't using scissors but she was dipping her hand in paint. Her hand print is actually kind of huge. I should have put a dollar bill next to it for scale. The ladies said she did a great job, perhaps she'll be an artiste?

irish heritage center
This past Saturday we went over to the Irish Heritage Center to begin the St. Patty's festivities. We rolled Bea in napping right when the Shannon Rovers kicked it into high gear. Scott and I found it to be perfect timing, but Bea was shocked and terrified. The horseshoe frown was in full effect. Once the act was over, we got all cozy (see pic above, Bea is really into crossing her legs) and Irish. Lots of laughs, music, dancing, a few bevs and even shopping!
