christmas day

My parents, Scott's parents and brothers and KR came over to celebrate Christmas. It was so nice to have everyone over. We were all spoiled with lots of gifts and loads of food. Bea loved being at home and showing off her room and new should shrugs.

christmas morning

Christmas morning was such a treat. We ate some "christmas oatmeal" (Scott's idea) and had some divine coffee cake from Annie and then moved onto Santa gifts! Bea was a little slow to open her gifts, but really got excited once she saw what was underneath.

christmas eve

Christmas Eve is one of the main highlights of the season for me (and hopefully Scott and Bea). As usual, my pictures are random and don't really tell the full story. Bea, Leo and Emmett reallly enjoyed themselves. Lots of climbing and LOTS of exploring Grammie's pantry.

misc festiveness

Just a few random pictures leading up to Christmas Eve. Bea made lots of seasonal crafts at daycare this year, including a pint-size gingerbread house. She now likes to pull and rough up her hair at the end of a meal, hence the Nick Nolte picture. And lastly, we went on a looong Christmas Eve morning walk and then out to lunch. Bea was in heaven, boppin' to the holiday tunes waiting for her food.

i love it but it grosses me out

The infant rooms have there own little yard to play in and Bea loves it. She cries and maybe throws a teensy fit when it's time to come inside. It is nice and grassy and soft. I think Bea must be a little grossed out by the twigs texture though. These pictures are from the summer. You can see the toddler play area next door. Now that Bea and some of the other kids are getting older, they go in there to tear it up.

bea and the boys

It is hard to tell if Bea tags along with the boys, or gets right in there. I have a feeling she rallies them together. This is Brent, Malcom and Joey.

bea's teachers

Bea absolutely loves her teachers at daycare. In the picture above there is Miss Liz, Miss Jenny and Miss Druesilla (Sarah is missing). Friday was Miss Liz's last day, she has a great opportunity elsewhere. She will be greatly missed and her shoes will be hard to fill! Miss Liz was also the photographer at daycare and her departing gift to all of us was all of her pictures. She spent hours and hours organizing her pictures from when each kid started. So I am going to try and share as much as I can. I looked through them the other night and there were some chuckles and some tears. Thank you for everything Liz!

local christkindl market

The local Christkindl Market was this weekend and I had really been looked forward to it. We met some friends up there and had a great time. No one had a better time than Bea though. She her red sparkly shoes from her uncles and did not stop moving.

final birthday gift

We opened up Bea's last birthday gift this weekend, a blowup playhouse. The box made it seem like it was filled to the brim with balls. SO many that you can jump, and swim and bury yourself in them. It only came with 20 though. Bea loves it though and she uses it to stow other things like my shoes and all of her stuffed friends.

little helper

We put up our Christmas decorations this weekend and hooooly cow was Bea ridiculous. With every box we opened, she was practically bubbling over. Tons of WOWs and WOAHs and tippy-toed excitement clenches. I thought she was going to burst! Then all she wanted to do was help. Moving the Christmas tree stand (which is sort of heavy), opening and closing the tree box (also not that easy) and basically moving or lifting anything she could. My face hurts from the laughing and cuteness.

new face for the holidays?

thanksgiving

On our way to Indy for turkey day. Bea requested a sheen of Aquaphor on her cheeks to keep her supple for the family.

Bea loved all of the food. Her favorites were stuffing, mashed potatoes and yams.

There was tons of playtime for Bea and I think she got a little too excited. We had to change into some sweats and an undershirt for post throw-up comfort. I guess it could have been Bea's sneaky way to get into some clothes with a little give.

The Golichowski's were there and bea hadn't seen them since last year. I swear she was either playing with Hannah, being carried by Uncle Tim, checking out Luke or getting some back rubs from Aunt Sandy. There is definitely a bond there.

Speaking of bonds, Bea and Grandpa Ed got in quite a few cuddles. What a great Thanksgiving we all had. We even got sent home with leftovers!
