father's day

Nothin' but some down-home family time.

ducky comes for an art project

Every now and then Mr. Jay will bring one of the resident pets over for a visit. This time he managed to stay for an art project.

Cordelia is not as interested and I would have thought.

Bea's class is much more adventurous.

I love the kids faces here. Bea said that he got really loud and quacky when he walked across the canvas.

Such fun for the kids!

love them to pieces

cordelia's first dentist trip

This little wiggleworm managed to stay put way longer than expected. A full exam, brushing, a little scraping and a little fluoride!

first beach day!

The first beach day of the season was a success. The beach is almost like a sand bar at this part of the lake. It never even dawned on us that the water would be unseasonably cold. Even when we were in it. It was just the regular cold. The ladies didn't seem to mind at all.

Geesh, were they really that far out of arms reach?

I love this picture of Cordelia, yeeeehaw!

t-ball

Bea is on a t-ball team, and we all cannot WAIT until it is over. She wants to wear tutus to her game and sit in the outfield with her glove. over. her. face.

2014 summer show

The summer show at the girls school is all about performance and entertainment. They sent home a note with some costume requests and everything else is kept under wraps. The note this year said "swimsuits or beach wear". Without hesitation I packed two suits, a pair of sunglasses and binoculars. I was so proud that I was ahead of the game with a few days to spare before the show.

The day of the show was worry free. Costumes done.

Then Cordelia's class marches out on stage. No bathing suits?!

If you look closely you see see the blond puff of motion making it's way on stage.

Oh boy. Cordelia is the only one dancing, and the only one wearing a suit - that is too small. She was wonderful. Her class was a little shy, but she balanced it out. They has fun just being silly to Rockin' Robin.

Now Bea's class HAS to wear suits right??

Itsy Bitsy Teeny Weenie Yellow Polka Dot Bikini came out and out they marched. Gah! No other suits!? At least we were consistent, both in polka dot suits and both dancing.

Bea and her buds Alex and Madeline.

The older kids had a choreographed song and dance number. What a difference a year makes!

Once the other classes had their turn, it was time for individual or group talents. I signed the kids up for "frozen" and just thought they can twirl or sway a bit together on stage. I told Bea she could wear Cordelia's Else costume and Coco could wear the "Anna" costume. Or B-r-a-v-e dress.

It started slow.

Then picked up speed with an icy arm gesture.

Then it turned into lots of sister lifting! Cute! Cute! Cute!
I will have to post the videos separately.  Such a hoot.
