nature walk

When the weather starts to turn cooler, we like to explore different areas of the lakefront. No crowds or sweltering sun. Montrose Harbor is really great because there is just loads to see.

The gently sloping grassy knolls where Mom makes you take a pupil burning picture.

The Bird Sanctuary.

We never make it all the way through because at least one of us chickens out.

The beach.

The path that takes you out to the breakwater. Bea has claimed that she is injured. Cordelia sat down to listen and comfort.

We went all the way out to the tip.

Sweet Coco bean pretending to need to hang on while the wind blew.

Picking flowers and dancing.

Coco Rose and Scott.

Filling up bags of leaves.

I wish I could remember what ridiculous thing she was saying. Probably something about being touched by nature's beauty.

ravenswood art walk

Ravenswood Art Walk was finally on a date that we could go. It was blustery as all heck though.

In one area, right by the beers, they had a kid zone. Snacks, crafts and balloons.

This was supposed to be where the entertainment was at "RAW detour", where the wide selection of local brews and whiskey would bring everyone together. But the unseasonably cool and windy weather only brought wide open space. Space for these ladies to let loose on their scooters.

There was some neat art, but things were definitely slowing down when we got there.
