a little bit of sitting

6 months: lots of pictures (warning?)

We had a little time to kill before Beatrix's doc appointment, so we put on a hat and took some pictures. I was telling Bea how she'll have a couple of different outfits today. Cozy polka dots for the doc and her favorite outfit for her class. It was her half birthday after all.

We talked and talked...

and laughed and laughed.

Beatrix agreed with almost everything.

She thought I was joking when I explained the nature of her doctor visit.

There will most definitely be some shots.

BUT, they'll be in your meaty thighs.

So then we got sick of the scene and the hat and needed a change. This shed some light on Beatrix's hair. It really DOES look red. Maybe she'll look like her god mother?

Beatrix told me "shhhhh ZIP it, I need to enjoy the possibility of red hair shhhh."

I told Bea that she'll be delightful no matter what her hair turns out to be. Who knows, if you are like your god mother, you won't have hair until you're 1st Communion.

Bea gasped and laughed at that idea.

So fast forward to the doc's office. Beatrix weighs 19 lbs 11 oz and is 28" long. She's still in the 97th percentile. As you can see, she looooves this floral get-up. We left her thighs exposed for the shots. A few tears but not bad. I think the hat helps her feel invincible. When we picked Beanut up from daycare, the hat was still on and she was back in polka dots. Apparently the hat was a hot topic, teachers couldn't resist her and all of the other kids wanted to wear it.

come into my study

Pull up a chair. Let me tell you about a photo shoot I had at day care. The photographer tried to make me laugh and tried make me smile. But I was like "aww hellz naw, this is a serious face, for my serious chair, in my serious study". B-T-Dubs...I'm 6 months old today. More to come on that and my classmates.

va va velour

a different view

The other day Bea asked that I take some shots of the back of her head. She wanted to document her hair growth. It's still the darkest at the nape and changes from red to blond to brown in different light. Kind of like a Calico cat, but not really, because I hate cats. So let's say a Calico dog. Bea's hair is like a Calico dog. Cute!
