sunday snacktime

Sunday we took it easy, enjoyed some leftovers and opened presents. Bea has a new found appreciation for her booster seat, so she watched some football and snacked.

Beatrix's first birthday!

The birthday girl and her Grandma Nancy.

Two serious men: MXC and IFC.

Leonardo getting some fresh air.

Megan's sweet treats.

Bea can't get enough water lately. Big dramatic birthday swigs.

Bea is mesmerized by her Uncle TJ.

Well, well well...look who found Puddles and Mort. Or maybe it was the other way around?

As expected, Bea dug right into her cake. Banana cake with vanilla frosting. Not sure if you can tell, but she put a pretty impressive dent in it too.

Saturday we had some family over to celebrate Bea's first birthday. The weather was perfect, just as I remember it when Bea was born. The kids had a great time and I think the adults did too. I am still paying for the salt intake. As I am typing this, I am also contemplating a piece of birthday cake. Or maybe more of a slab of cake. Anyways, Bea had a great time seeing everyone, and wow, were all of our guests generous.

1 year

Holy cow, one year. Everyone says it goes fast, but it really really flew. Bea sported a fancy candy outfit for her big day at school. She was greeted with lots of hootin' and hollerin' and a decorated crib. We went out for a bday dinner and Bea had ribs and a pickle, among other things.

not just any old pumpkin patch

A couple weeks ago, all the cousins got together at a pumpkin patch. This was like no other patch I'd been to. Corn maze, fun slide, rides, petting zoo, haunted barn, baby animals, pig races, giant rocking chair and pumpkins galore. Bea loved getting cozy with her cousins and Esme loved holding Bea under her pits.
