everyone is turning two

Bea was invited back to her old school to celebrate everyone turning two (Bea included). It was so so so good to see everyone and such a nice time. There was pizza and the teachers made cupcakes that the kids got to decorate. They even made goody bags and a book of pictures and songs the kids got to take home. At the end we all sang happy birthday and the kids were like - waaaaiiit aaa minnnute. This is for ME?

go tom go!

Sunday was the Chicago Marathon and we went in hopes of cheering on my cousin Tom. Once we got there we knew he was long gone based on the speed of the marathoners.

It was super chilly for the girls, so we had them really bundled.

Bea got some free pom poms from the VW zone. She thought they were pretty great.

You Twirl Guuurrrl! High energy twirling to the beats of Nikki Minaj.

What...the...you mean to tell me that I could of had a white RIFLE instead of these CHEAP choke hazard POMS!?

perfect saturday

This Saturday was filled with fun fall last minute adventures. Green City Market with cousins and a stop at The Farm at Lincoln Park Zoo. Followed by some cuddle playtime with the infamous Harbor Seal. I think Cordelia is making fast friends with this critter.

beatrix and cordelia's fall art show

Cordelia was waiting for us in her room, just sitting with the ladies. The theme of the show was The Giving Tree...

This almost made me crumble. A picture of a picture doesn't do it any justice. All the kids had these pictures taken but only the infants had them framed. This one was right outside Cordelia's room. All the artwork was a surprise for the parents.

Here are the bio pictures with a little interview below. Obviously Cordelia couldn't answer on her own. I think the answers are pretty accurate though.

Love, love, love it all.

Ahhh geeze! Bea's pottery!

Cordelia's room project was this tree. The kids actually painted the leaves with the teachers.

Bea made candles.

Can't even stand it.

Cordelia's

Again, overflowing with emotion. A painted turkey by my little turkey.

There are really no words to describe how much we loved this art show. There was so much time and energy put into it by the kids and teachers. Bea and Cordelia still have pieces that I didn't get a chance to capture. The theme was The Giving Tree and they literally transformed the space to reflect this. Bea was so proud of her work and Cordelia was all kicks and drool. All of their art will stay up until the next show. Then it comes home with us. Rainforest will be giving us the Bio pics as well. My favorite.
