spring art show: lost in neverland!

The spring art show is finally here,  Lost in Neverland! The inspiration of course being Peter Pan. The kids and teachers put so much time and effort into it. A couple weeks leading up to the show is a messy one. Both Bea and Cordelia came home with paint on their clothes, under their nails and on random body parts. The preparations are always top secret. And the moment we walk into the show is always so emotional. Or maybe I am just a weepy one.
Cordelia and her buddy Will. Her teachers said she was not happy to be in this get up. So they had to get her to dance (her passion) between shots.

Always lots of food.

Our little pirate, love! This explains those sooty marks! Haha!

Cordelia working on her boat!

After BEGGING to have some of the "blue stuff", Bea was sorely disappointed that it wasn't "blue ice cream".

Cordelia has turned a corner, almost an awaking. She now understands how easy it is to irritate her older sister, and pull her hair. And also give her quick kicks when no one is looking.

There were even English gentleman and Nana the dog!

sharing but not caring

Cordelia's personality is really coming out - full force. Tonight at dinner, she offered Scott and I her drink, over and over. Making the sweetest little determined face. We would take fake sips and say thank you. Bea was wide-eyed over the sharefest and asked to try some of Cordelia's water. The response...a firm and fast head-shaking NO. Who knew our sweet little baby was capable of giving it back to her sister!? She did it again and again until finally feeling bad and offering Bea a sip.

st. patty's day parade

Happy St. Patrick's Day! We went to the parade on Saturday...without a stroller. I told Scott to quick-hurryup-takeapicture just in case we need to get right back in the car.

Turtlenecks, thick Irish sweaters and snow suits.

Cordelia was dancing and wild until 5 minutes before the parade starts. Then she slept through everything. The bagpipes, drums, screaming and snow.

This picture shows Bea really peeved and bored and standing behind tall adults. She was actually front row the whole time. Waving and getting shout outs.

Holy moly were they ramped up once we got home. Please note, Bea had her red sucker just for a moment. I can't even believe I let her have it that long. Too close for comfort with those creamy sweaters and couch.

Cordelia wanted to practice her team sports pose.
