christmas day 2013

Another Christmas morning. Santa treats us well.
We headed to Indiana after opening presents and be picked up one of Scott's childhood traditions. Santa's helper, wearing a Santa hat and passing out all the presents.

It appears that Santa's helper has no sense of space or regard for people's feelings.

The neatest most realistic mechanical Mother Goose. She would sway and swivel while sharing classic children's nursery rhymes. Little did she know that her neck would soon be broken at the hands of a Pearson girl.

My oh my. When Ed and Nancy had the girls for a weekend, they had a secret photoshoot, and surprised us with these pictures for Christmas!

Special Guest Beatrix

You know who doesn't give a damn? Cordelia, that's who. She celebrate the birth of baby Jesus however she pleases.

Coco rose, she can work it.

So the thought was that the kids could play up here. What was unclear, was that it best be limited to the older kids. Everyone in the pic has a different idea of what they should be doing. Except Olivia. Clearly this is not how she saw it going down.

Hey guys, why don't you all hop up on the bed and I can take your picture for Santa?

Mike, fresh from his surgery. His bodyguard Maeve.

Bea and Leo trying to remember if BEO was together again.

Hellz yea. BE-O! BE-O!

Cordelia, Esme and Evie

Chex Mix is a major highlight on Christmas Eve. I love it. Bea loves it. And Bea loves to get cozy and cram it down Olivia's throat.

A Chex Mix victim her own size. Cordelia loves it.

christkindl market

A couple of weeks ago we braved the below freezing temps (and crowds) and headed to the christkindl market. Beatrix was not a fan of waiting in the cold. but Cordelia was a champ. She could have taken a nap out there. Bea just whined that she had icicles. Even when standing right outside the big guy's house.

We met some friend in the Grand Timber House to warm up. This is Cordelia's butter-up face. She had high hopes of throwing back a cold one.

Desperate for even the smallest drop of Bitburger.

Santa was so kind and genuine. He took time with each of them, apologizing for the wait and hoping they weren't too cold. When asked what she wanted for Christmas, Bea panicked. "uhhh uhhhh I'd like a train....yea yea....a train." Santa sensed her apprehension and tried to get clarity by confirming if it was a Thomas Train. Bes just responded with a slow "yeeeaaaa...a thomas....train."
