beach

This is no one I know, but i know this would be something I'd like to do.

Basking in the sun, trying to act cool. But look at how firmly she's pressing that thumb into her thigh.

Hoarding her toys after we went for a swim. It was actually more like a rodeo with all of the bucking and splashing in the water.

Enticing.

Bea is ready to take me out here. We just got back from the second rodeo and I guess she had the post swim boogs. How was I suppose to know?

Scott had to work most of the weekend, so Bea and I went to the beach on Saturday. She attracted a lot of attention from Mom's and little boys. I think the boys were dazzled by the sparkle in her suit, and the moms were impressed at how well Bea was handling the chilly water.

new favorite toy

Here Beatrix is posing with her new favorite toy, and it's a big one. Some might call it a console, but to Bea, it's so much more than that. It's a wooden teething ledge, mirror, slappin' surface, door swinger and endless facial tissue.

beanut m&m - yum

Beanut dined al fresco a couple weeks ago. Whoopie! A blimp!

on your marks

Bea is allllmost ready to go. She can really move with the army crawl but just can't put the trigger on the good old fashioned crawl. She can pop 'n' lock it, and then a little rock it, then that's about it. How much faster will she really be?

shhhhhh

ribfest

Alrigh' alrigh' Dad's bringin' Mom and I some RIBS.

In the distance, there was a truck. A tractor trailer smoker filled with juicy meat. The sweet and smoky aroma caught the attention of the twins and filled them with awe.

AHAHAHA. The pig and I are still laughing at the twins. This was the hood ornament on that tractor trailer smoker.

Ohboi! Ohboi! Ohboi!

Ribfest was fun but SO crowded in parts. We brought the big hoss stroller and realized the error of our ways with every achilles I clipped. All Beatrix wanted was ribs and beer. So it seemed like a better option to put her up higher in the baby bjorn. That way the sweet smoke and frothy beer was just a small arms reach away. All that reaching and wishing made for one sleepy baby.

bea's new thang

Bea is on the move and her new thing is exploring. Schimmying under the music table, scooting down the hall to peek around corners and bulldozing over my leg to get her paws around some cords. She will not be stopped.
