st. nick's day

Saint Nick stopped by the house and brought Christmas treats for everyone.

snow forest winter show 2012

This is Jay, one of the directors and always the MC.

Cordelia's class was the first up, although three kids were sick and not able to participate, including Cordelia.
But lil' sickie was not going to miss the show.

You can barely see Bea here. She is right under the green wing, with brown boots and a blurry dance-face.

The girls school does big seasonal shows. This was our first Christmas one. They decorate and the kids make ornaments. Bea's class made their Christmas tie tees. Most of the classes just danced to music.  But as the classes got older, the routines got a bit more complicated. I was bummed that Scott had to miss it and that Cordelia couldn't participate because of a sneaky fever. It was really really cute.

things bea says

Ohhhh Hooooo what's in my mouth!? It tastes like chicken. *cough* *cough*
Oh for PETE'S sake!

This statement would have been funny if she was eating. But we were in the car, so it was hilarious.

2 years: beatrix fallyn

We had the 2 year well child check up. Bea is 35lbs (98th percentile) and 36 inches (91st percentile). She opted for the nasal flu shot and was totally ok with it. The doc asked if she was stringing two words together yet and Scott and I just laughed. Even though Bea has a mouthful of teeth, we are going to wait to pay a visit to the dentist until she is 3. There is no WAY she would be ok with it.

6 months: cordelia rose

Our sweet little birdie is now almost 7 months, but here is her 6 month check-up stats. 18.6 lbs (79th percentile) and 27.5 inches (90th percentile). Apparently there is a shortage of one of the immunizations, so we need to go back for part two and a flu shot. Cordelia is teething and drooling like mad. It looks like the tooth is almost cut on top. I cannot imagine her smile with TEETH.

caroling and tree lighting

Since it was such a mild Saturday, we went to join in some caroling and tree lighting. You'd never know it was so nice out by the way I bundled the ladies up. We also did a little nighttime swinging. Cordelia was totally onto the weirdness of it, but Bea had to be torn away.
