school pictures

These pictures turned out ok. Just okay. I suppose I do love some of the expressions and odd poses, so that could make some of them winners.

Like take this one for example. What could they have told my sweet little nugget to do here?

Little bit scraggly.

Sweetness.

Cuuuuute BUUUUT...why do their mouths look like that? I don't even know how they did that?

Oh boy, and this one. Thug life.

Senior year.

I love this one. Love it. But I hate that they are growing up so fast!!

Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead)

The girls' school celebrates the Day of the Dead every year. They ask for pictures of deceased loved ones and set up a neat little shrine. And they paint the kids' faces and add black accessories and take pictures. Well this is all I could manage to get. Somehow the good school pictures never made it out.

halloween 2014!

After hemming and hawing for weeks about costumes, They landed on being vampires. Both of them.

We couldn't find a small enough vamp wig for Cordelia, so we went with a Snow White one. Such a sweet little vampire.

They are supposed to be doing some spooky arm moves here.

Most of Bea's class.

Oh wait, what happened to the sweet and kind vampire?

I cannot figure out who she looks like here. SOMEONE. If anyone figures it out, please let me know.

We went our usual trick or treating route, even though the weather was treacherous. The big building that usually has a haunted house, scaled it back because of the winds. They went with a haunted window. I thought it was cute.

The girls were terrified as the old creature handed them treats through the window.

bea's first friend party

Bea had her very first friend party. I was leaning towards not having one, but she just wouldn't stop talking about it. So that brought us to Sky High Trampolines. We invited everyone from her class and some cousins.

There was a foam pit with a rope swing and trampoline run way.

I think this was the favorite spot.

Here is Hazel in the main trampoline area. They have courts for difference age groups.

Cordelia and Hazel could not get enough of themselves relaxing in the foam.

An hour in and they were dropping like flies.

Desperate for water or pizza.

This kids really had a great time.

fall art show 2014

This year's theme was The Wizard of Oz, and a little bit of The Wiz thrown in.
Beautiful Cordelia as a munchkin.

These interviews are the best and my picture is lousy.

Bea is a munchkin from the WIZ.

The hot air balloons were the pièce de résistance. I think it took them 2 weeks. Bea would come home with dried glue and argue that it was her skin coming off.

This was Cordelia's class project. Their favorite part was painting the ruby slippers and covering them in glitter.

They even did a little performance piece.

Cordelia's class got to pick which character they wanted to be.
She chose tin man and shouted every line.

Coco enters the frame here.

Cordelia said she wanted to find a spot out of the way to enjoy her snack. She sat out of the way but placed her drink and plate right in the middle of the yellow brick road.

There is alway a big display of fresh fruit at the art show. This year was bushels of apples. They each took two and then we went out for tacos. I am going to miss these shows when they're over.
