Just a few highlights of Thanksgiving Day.

Let's hear it for Great Grandma's!

The soft little puff that is Sophie!

Their dream.

turkey trot

The local park district had a turkey trot for the kids. Nothing fancy, real casual. We put on lots of layers and headed over to see if the kids would even run.

They had no idea what to do.

It was broken out by age, but look. LOOK. They are standing way in the back. Like they are some sort of Kenyans doing everyone a favor!

Well Bea is actually pretty speedy and would have gotten 1st if she didn't let a boy win. (!?) He got a turkey and she got a pie. The pie was a much better prize. And Cordelia got a squirrel cookie. We all skipped home happy.

birthday dinner

Normally I would never post a picture like this. But this one really says something. We went out for my birthday dinner, just the 4 of us. And it's like the girls were drunk. The place was a little "rock n roll" but still. There is not one picture where Cordelia wasn't a white puff. And Bea is thrilled. THRILLED. These girls love to have a good time. Just like their momma.

school pictures

These pictures turned out ok. Just okay. I suppose I do love some of the expressions and odd poses, so that could make some of them winners.

Like take this one for example. What could they have told my sweet little nugget to do here?

Little bit scraggly.

Sweetness.

Cuuuuute BUUUUT...why do their mouths look like that? I don't even know how they did that?

Oh boy, and this one. Thug life.

Senior year.

I love this one. Love it. But I hate that they are growing up so fast!!

Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead)

The girls' school celebrates the Day of the Dead every year. They ask for pictures of deceased loved ones and set up a neat little shrine. And they paint the kids' faces and add black accessories and take pictures. Well this is all I could manage to get. Somehow the good school pictures never made it out.
