chicago kids and kites festival

The beauty of all the kites could not be captured by my iphone. Such a fun time. The serious kite flyers had there own section. The rest of us ran wild on Cricket Hill. Flat Stanley included.

Cordelia flew her own kite like a pro, sun glasses propped up and all.

AHAHAHAHAHA!!

flat stanley

Bea was chosen by her cousin Esme for her Flat Stanley project. Most kids would be over-the-moon at the thought of being part of their older cousin's school project. Bea especially. But not this time. She hated Flat Stanley, he was boring and flat.

spring art show: dr. suess

This year the spring art show's theme was Dr. Suess! Such a fun theme that really lent itself to some neat projects.

There was live entertainment.

It's a little hard to read, but a good portion of Bea's answers were MONAWQUA. Also known as Minocqua. How great is that!?

Some nice solid work by Cordelia.

These are handmade bead necklaces that I was too lazy to rotate.

Every year, the art show pictures are my favorite. I would pay for these instead of Lil' Angels Photography.

Bea wanted to wear her fanciest dress. Not seen is the navy fur bolero jacket.

Post art show part at her friend Alex's house. He is such a gentleman.

irish eyes

Trying to get cute seasonal pics before going to school. I used to think Bea was the funny one, but Coco is a force to be reckoned with. Always making us laugh.

st patty's party

The girls and I met some friends at a fine Irish establishment to enjoy their Irish celebration.

Face painting. One of the most important parts of a party. Just ask Bea.

She did the Irish princess.

Cordelia did the wee little leprechaun. She pretended to be asleep while getting her shamrock. It was less traumatic.

They were giving away Coors light beads and McGargle masks. YOIKES.

The girls became fast friends with Eli and Jack. Who were stockpiling the masks and beads and McGuyvering them into something else. Something more dangerous.
