loco coco

These pictures don't best illustrate Coco at her finest. They are just recent one's I have on my phone.

This is Coco with "her guy". This is actually Scott's Homer toy and he shouts rude things when you press the little yellow button. She loves him.

Cordelia and I had some alone time at the park. Here she is taunting an older boy because he can't do the fireman pole. You can see a few tats on her arms. But what you can't see is the full tat sheet on her lower back. She gave it to herself before anyone else woke up that morning.

steamy air and water show

Every year we try and make it to the air and water show. We jam the kids in the bike trailer and pack a picnic. This year was no exception. EXCEPT there were swarms of dragonflies. Tons. Big ones. All up and down the lake front. We got to our usual spot and then walked in hope of finding a clear area. You were only safe in the shade or on the cement.

We opted for the shade.

The shade wasn't enough for Bea, she had to have the Mexican popsicles.

The dragonflies eventually left after a couple of hours and the kids went up and down the rocks while we watched the show.

My sweaty sweeties.

wisconsin vacation

It that wonderful time of year again, vacation! Like last year, we went up to the Dells for a couple days before Minocqua. This time we were joining by Michael, Laura, Iggy and Maeve. To say the kids had a good time is a gross understatement. Biggest lesson learned, never leave Cordelia and Maeve alone.

The weather was nice and hot. Skipping a nap to spend all afternoon at a waterpark was a shock to Coco's system. She kept asking when she could go to bed. Poor baby.

There was extreme love between these four. It deeply concerns me for the teenage and beyond years.

Everytime I tried to get a picture of these two, they turned into Children of the Corn.

Bea's face. The best.

In Minocqua the weather was alright, but we made the best of it. Anchoring the boat for some swim time.

In between storms we went to a park so that Scott could work his arms on the merry-go-round.

Normally I would be against playing in the sand. But this trip I was all for it during the day. All of the kids seemed so interested this year.

Little Lucia on her first Big Mable spin.

Anything soft and cozy requires a cuddle and picture.

After an early dinner at Lakeside, the kids fed their "scraps" to the fish. It was mass amount of fries and almost an entire chicken finger.

Sunset Minaqua Bat waterski show. So fun for the kids.

concert in the park

After an early dinner and some playground and splash pad action, we continued our ladies night at the concert in the park. This was modern classical music. Not Bad Blood or Uptown Funk.

Something has happened in the past 24 hours with Bea. She is into doing these "dangerous" moves to show her sister what is not safe. Cordelia is too busy putting on a show for the family with the full picnic spread.

Cordelia is in the moment and gives it her all.

Holy moses!

This is her bow to the crowd.

beach trip to michigan

This summer has been calling for a jump start. And what better way to do that than a day trip to Michigan! We spent the day with cousins at Weko Beach.

Then we headed to New Buffalo for dinner.

Such a perfect way to spend a summer day!
